ROLE:
- Deliver technical and HSE coaching and mentoring to all rig crew including Rig Supervisor, Toolpusher, Drillers, Derrickman, and Floorman to ensure operational competency meets company and industry standards.
- Provide leadership development and supervisory coaching to Rig Supervisors, Toolpushers, and Drillers in decision-making, risk management, and safety leadership.
- Conduct competency evaluations, identify competency gaps, and develop individual and team development plans.
- Provide technical support during critical operations and ensure proper implementation of safe work procedures, well control practices, and barrier management.
- Provide coaching on implementation of rig equipment maintenance programs, including routine inspections, equipment condition recording, and follow-up of technical findings.
- Promote crew awareness on equipment integrity and reliability to support safe and efficient operations.
- Ensure compliance with the HSE Management System, HSE Plan, and Bridging Document, and promote a strong safety culture through behavioral safety coaching.
- Documentation of all coaching, training, and assessment activities including competency progress reports and improvement recommendations.
- Act as an agent of change in enhancing operational discipline, work efficiency, procedural compliance, and reduction of Non-Productive Time (NPT).
Coordinate with Rig Operations Manager, Rig Technical Manager, and Organization Capability team to continuously improve operational performance, safety, and overall rig team effectiveness.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Shall have at least ten (10) years of working experience in Drilling and/or Workover Well Services/Well Intervention operations including three (3) years of experience as a Rig Supervisor and have 3 years of working experience in coaching and mentoring rig crews. Shall have completed the following qualification requirements (including training schools or certification programs):
- Held valid PPSDM MIGAS Ahli Pengendali Perawatan Sumur (APPS) Rig/Hoist Certificate.
- Held valid Well Control certification (IWCF/IADC) at a minimum of Supervisory Level and/or (preferred)
- Minimum bachelor’s degree (S1) in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or other related engineering disciplines.
- Proficient in well control, operational troubleshooting, and field decision-making.
- Comprehensive understanding of rig operations including drilling, workover, and well intervention.
- Understands and can implement HSE management systems, TRA/JSA, PTW, HAZID, and Risk Assessment.
- Strong leadership capability and able to act as an agent of change in improving safety and operational performance.
- Able to serve as a role model in operational aspects, work discipline, and HSE culture within the rig environment.
- Knowledge and use of office productivity tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
