TOOLPUSHER Level 3

ROLES:

  • Assist and support existing Toolpusher in supervising all workover/well intervention operations at the worksite.
  • Support and conduct daily operational control including crew arrangement, equipment and material readiness in accordance with the approved work program.
  • Supervise rig crew work discipline and ensure compliance with operational procedures, technical standards, and HSE requirements.
  • Support and conduct risk control implementation through Task Risk Assessment (TRA)/ Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Permit to Work (PTW), toolbox meetings, and supervision of high-risk activities.
  • Provide technical input and improvement recommendations to enhance operational efficiency, reduce Non-Productive Time (NPT), and maintain rig equipment integrity.
  • Coordinate with the Rig Supervisor WOWS, Superintendent Rig Operations, and Rig Coach to support performance improvement and crew competency development.
  • Act as a agent of change and role model by promoting procedural discipline, effective field leadership, and strengthening workplace safety culture.
  • Primary accountability and operational decision-making authority remain with existing Toolpusher.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Shall have at least ten (10) years of working experience in Drilling and/or Workover Well Services/Well Intervention operations including at least three (3) years of experience as a Toolpusher in Workover & Well Services/Well Intervention. Shall have completed the following qualification requirements (including training schools or certification programs):

  1. Held valid PPSDM MIGAS Ahli Pengendali Perawatan Sumur (APPS) Rig/Hoist Certificate.
  2. Well Control certification (IWCF/IADC) at a minimum of Supervisory Level (preferred)
  3. Minimum Diploma (D3) in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other related engineering disciplines.
  4. Comprehensive understanding of WOWS operations including well completion, well servicing, POOH/RIH pipe/tubing, killing well, fishing job, rig up/rig down, and mobilization/demobilization.
  5. Has direct supervisory experience over workover/well intervention operations and rig crews.
  6. Proficient in well control, operational troubleshooting, and operational decision-making in the field.
  7. Proficient in work safety systems, including PTW, JSA/TRA, HAZID, and Risk Assessment; experienced in emergency response procedures and fire prevention/suppression on rig operations.
  8. Have strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills with relevant stakeholders involved in the works.
  9. Able to serve as a role model in implementing operational discipline, procedural compliance, and HSE culture in the WOWS rig environment.
  10. Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc. for reporting and analysis purposes
