DRILLER Level 2

ROLES:

  • Assist the existing Driller in executing workover/well intervention operations in accordance with the approved work program.
  • Support and conduct the operation of drilling/workover equipment including drawworks, rotary systems, and well control systems in accordance with operational procedure.
  • Monitor operational parameters such as hook load, pump pressure, casing/tubing pressure, and other safety indicators.
  • Support well control activities and ensure readiness of pressure control equipment including BOP and choke manifold systems.
  • Ensure implementation of Task Risk Assessment (TRA)/Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Permit to Work (PTW), and work discipline during operational activities.
  • Coordination with the Toolpusher, Rig Supervisor and Rig Coach to support competency development, safety, and operational efficiency.
  • Provide technical input and share field experience to support operational performance improvement and reduction of Non-Productive Time (NPT).
  • Act as an agent of change in promoting improvements in workover operational practices, operational discipline, work safety, and execution efficiency on the rig.
  • Serve as a role model for existing Driller in implementing WOWS best practices, procedural compliance, floor leadership, and safe decision-making.
  • Primary accountability and operational decision-making authority remain with existing Driller.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Shall have at least seven (7) years of working experience in Drilling and/or Workover Well Services/Well Intervention operations including at least three (3) years of experience as a Driller in Workover & Well Services/Well Intervention. Shall have completed the following qualification requirements (including training schools or certification programs):

  1. Held valid minimum PPSDM MIGAS Operator Unit Perawatan Sumur Rig/Hoist / Driller Perawatan Sumur Certificate.
  2. High school graduate (SMA/SMK) or equivalent
  3. Understand WOWS operational procedures, including well completion, well servicing, tubing operations, well killing, well intervention, and rig up/rig down.
  4. Capable of operating and controlling main workover rig equipment (drawworks, brake system, BOP, pumps, and hoisting system).
  5. Good understanding of well control, killing welll, pressure control installation, and response to abnormal well conditions.
  6. Able to read and understand work programs, SOPs, and field technical instructions.
  7. Understand occupational safety systems including PTW, JSA/TRA, emergency response procedures, and perform fire prevention and safety extinguishing.
  8. Able to supervise floor crew during ongoing operations.
  9. Capable of performing basic operational troubleshooting on rig equipment and well operations, including perform fishing job and operating mud pump.
  10. Strong communication and coordination skills with the Toolpusher, Rig Supervisor, and related teams.
  11. Committed to the implementation of HSE standards, procedural compliance, and operational discipline in WOWS activities.
