JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Verify that seismic instruments are properly calibrated, functioning correctly, and operated according to survey design.
• Ensure source and receiver locations are accurately recorded and survey geometry meets required specifications.
• Analyze seismic data quality, including noise, Signal-to-Noise Ratio (S/N), frequency content, amplitude analysis, and other related parameters.
• Monitor data quality during acquisition using real-time displays and automated QC tools to identify and resolve issues.
• Coordinate with the Lead QC and processing geophysicist to support smooth operations.
• Prepare daily reports summarizing data quality, identified issues, and recommended corrective actions for submission to the Lead QC.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum High School graduate.
• At least 4 years of experience as Recording QC in 3D land seismic projects.
• Good understanding of seismic fundamentals, data recording processes, and factors affecting data quality.
• Experienced in nodal receiver recording systems.
• Skilled in using QC software and equipment, and capable of troubleshooting recording issues.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
